While the K1600GT and K1600GTL were being introduced to the world at the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany, BMW was also showing the GTL to the US press at Jay Leno’s garage in Burbank, California. The Vice President of BMW Motorrad USA, Pieter de Waal, was there to point out some of the new and exciting technology that went into the bike. While most of what was discussed we’ve reported to you already, he did mention the high fuel economy, 45-50 MPG, the new big six should achieve as well as the low 29 in. seat height (two other optional, taller, adjustable seats are available).
