BMW has announced they have opened not one, but two new dealerships in Illinios. BMW Motorcycles of Countryside is an exclusive BMW dealership located at 6150 S. La Grange Road in Countryside — a western suburb of Chicago. The 16,000 square-foot dealership is also near LaGrange, Oak Park and Orland Park areas of Illinois. Featuring a café, owner Richard Fisher says, “This is a place where people can feel free to just come in and hang out without feeling like they have to buy something.” Mr. Fisher owns eight automobile dealerships in the greater Illinois area, races cars, and has been riding motorcycles since he was a teenager growing up in Great Britain.

In east central Illinois, Sportland Motorsports has added BMW to their lineup to become BMW Motorcycles of Urbana. The dealership, located at 1602 N. Lincoln Avenue in Urbana, has been a well-established motorcycle retailer since 1976. Owner Sam Selle began working in the parts department as a teenager in 1969 before purchasing the dealership in 1976 and says, “Adding the BMW brand is the crowning touch to our business.”
