In Munich’s Skyloftstudio on September 22, a dream came true for aspiring fashion model Patricia Wiszniewski, who beat all challengers to become The Face chosen by elite Model Look Germany to earn a place at the world finals of this famous international modeling contest.
BMW Motorrad has been one of the supporting partners of the elite Model Look Germany event and has been a visible presence throughout the regional auditions and selection process to find the best German model. At these auditions, and alongside hundreds of Germany’s most beautiful young women, has been a selection of desirable models of a different kind including BMW’s S1000RR and Concept C.
The Concept C was first unveiled at Milan’s EICMA motorcycle show almost 12 months ago. With the electric Concept e Maxi-Scooter having made its debut at the IAA Frankfurt Motorshow this month, and the eagerly-awaited series production scooters due to be unveiled in Milan next month, these en vogue powered two-wheelers from BMW Motorrad have been making their own headlines.
Photographed with the Concept C at the amazing Skyloftstudio with its panoramic views over the Bavarian capital were all of the finalists who had successfully come through the regional auditions and a preliminary selection round that had reduced the number of finalists from 50 to 21.
On the lookout for a girl with a real presence on the catwalk and the right photogenic qualities for current fashion trends, was a jury comprising representatives from the worlds of fashion, beauty, design, advertising and marketing, including Tim Diehl-Thiele, Marketing Communication Director of BMW Motorrad.
The girls’ talents in front of camera were tested during shoots on three different sets including on the catwalks, where the finalists modelled clothing from Munich-based designer and jury member Patrick Mohr’s new spring/summer collection. With a high level of professionalism, talent and beauty on show, coming to a final decision wasn’t easy for the jury, but in the end, they decided that 14-year-old Patricia Wiszniewski from Berlin has what it takes to go all the way to the world finals and maybe even follow in the footsteps of Supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Gisele Bundchen, all of whom were first discovered during the elite Model Look Contest, which has been running since 1983.
Second and third places in the German finals went to Polly Rouditser from Berlin and Christiane Winter from Kevelaer, but all eyes are now on Patricia Wiszniewski, who will start her next big adventure in December, when she will travel to the Elite Model Look World Finals in Shanghai, where the winners from all 60 participating countries will compete for the overall victory and the coveted prize – a two-year modeling contract with elite.
For Tim Diehl-Thiele, Marketing Communication Director of BMW Motorrad, the cooperation with elite was very successful and generated lots of interest in the brand in advance of its imminent entry into the Urban Mobility segment. “There was a great reaction to the Concept C from everyone who came to watch the finals at Skyloft Studios, as this kind of machine appeals to young, fashionable urban dwellers who need a fast, stylish and efficient way to get around the city. It also appealed to all the would-be models who could well become our future customers when the production models become established. Congratulations to Patricia on winning this competition and the very best of luck to her in Shanghai.”
