Stephan Schaller to Head BMW Motorrad, HvK to BMW Auto

Following several changes in personnel at BMW Motorrad earlier this year (see new Head of Design, Head BMW Motorrad USA and Head of Sales and Marketing BMW Motorrad), BMW has decided to promote Hendrik von Kuenheim (52), Head of BMW Motorrad since 2008, to the four-wheeled side of the company to manage the BMW Automobiles business in the Asia, Oceania and South Africa region. A position currently held by Guenther Seemann (53) who takes over as Head of Importer Markets from Graeme Grieve (50) who moves to lead MINI sales.

Stephan Schaller (54) will join the BMW Group on June 1st to become the new Head of BMW Motorrad. Schaller previously worked for the BMW Group from 1981 to 1999. The mechanical engineer began his career as a trainee in what was then the “Technology” division. He has held various management positions over the course of his career, including Head of Production at the BMW Plant Rosslyn (South Africa). Schaller was most recently Vice Chairman of the Board of Management of Schott AG, Mainz.
