The fourth round of the 2016 FIM CEV Superbike European Championship (CEV) was held in Albacete (ES) last weekend. Maximilian Scheib (CL) once more proved to be one of the best riders in the series on his BMW S1000RR. In race one, the Targobank EasyRace SBK Team rider celebrated his second win of the season, also setting the fastest race lap. In the second heat, however, he crashed. Scheib was able to re-join the race and crossed the line in ninth. In the championship he is currently second, seven points behind the leader. In the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy Scheib improved from 15th to second place.

Roberto Blazquez (ES / ARC Competición) finished the races in ninth and 12th respectively. Scheib’s teammate Santiago Barragán (ES) had a bad crash in the first qualifying session and suffered a fracture to his tibia and fibula. We wish Santi a speedy recovery.
