BMW R1200RT (2010)
The 2010 BMW R1200RT is updated from the 2005 version through a mild fairing revision, new switchgear and a new dual overhead cam (DOHC) Boxer engine (seen previously on the 2010 BMW R1200GS). While the engine is the headline change, it does not outperform the previous version in either max horsepower or torque. This makes the 2010 update an evolutionary change. Which is fine with us, since the R1200RT was already at the top of the touring bike market.

Telegraph (UK), “Still sets the standards for touring bike comfort, manageability and accessories, now with a wider useable rev range and reduced wind noise. The best gets better again, though some will be bothered by the vibration.”
Motorcycle News (UK), “A brilliant touring bike… just enough grunt to make it entertaining… It is ultimately comfortable.
