Year to date, deliveries have grown 40.0% to 3,560 motorcycles compared with the 2,543 delivered in the first four months of 2011.

Hendrik von Kuenheim, the outgoing Head of BMW Motorrad said, “Despite difficult basic conditions and a very uneven development of the motorcycle market, BMW Motorrad achieved very good sales performance in April. Especially the markets of Germany, USA, France and Brazil have developed very positively. Strong demand for BMW bikes of all three series is constant. Our bestseller is still the big enduro R1200GS. Our large touring bikes with six-cylinder engines are also enjoying great popularity.”
